Done with Blogging?

This module of the class is officially over today and I am not sure if I will continue to blog and apply the skills that I learned in the class. I have learned so much in the writing arts class and I am not sure if all the important information was able to stick with me. I will still attempt to blog from time to time if possible. I will def use netvibes and del.icio.us regularly because they are both very helpful in my everyday tasks. I will continue organizing my server space in the most convenient way for me. I am glad that I took this class, it was very helpful since I am terrible with computers. Thank you for reading all my posts it was fun to write them!! Check back later to stay up to date on me!!

Done!

I think I’m pretty much done this project. I’m so happy, and impressed with myself that I could figure pretty much everything out. I’m not very computer savvy…at all. haha. I’m not sure if I did the server space correctly, so I’m right there with ya Jen. Hope everyone else had fun doing it & that they learned a lot from the class. I feel like I know a lot more about computers and technology in general now

Night before it’s due..

So, I’m having a little (ok, more like a lot) of trouble with this project.  My netvibes page is awesome (haah), and my paper is turning out well–I just have to edit all my horrible grammar mistakes, but I am really confused on the server space.  During the class I thought I got it, but I apparently didn’t–at all!  Ugh..!

If anyone has any suggestions, please comment me back!  See you tomorrow morning!

The end is near…lol

Hey everyone!  Just wanted to see how everybody’s project is coming along, and what everybody thinks of the new Writing Arts module. I think it’s really interesting, talking about the different aspects of specific pieces of writing.  Of course I always had an idea about the amount of thought that went into writing a note, a paper, or even a novel, I never realized that it was such a detailed process.  It’s fun talking about why writers are portrayed the way they are in certain pieces, as well as different themes in writing.  We also talked a lot about why we write, and what kind of fulfillment we get out of it now and what we think we may get from it in the future.

As far as the project goes, I feel that mine is coming along.  Just a little confused about tags, can anyone help?

Yankees Winning the World Series Next Year!!

Ok, my prediction was officially wrong, the Yankees did not win the world series, you can all make fun of me now for being so confident that they were going to win. I am still going to say it is b/c I am a true fan I am not a front runner by any means and just because they did not win this year does not mean they are not going to win next year. The beginning of this year started off rough, they should have progressed farther then the first round of play offs in my opinion by I am proud that they worked their butts off to get into playoffs. My prediction about the Yanks winning the wild card when they were 14 games back, and my prediction about the Mets screwing up their playoff hope right before the playoffs both came true so 2 out of 3 predictions isnt bad. OK that is all I had to admit I was wrong      

I still have faith for next year and every year following that

Ahh..the weekend!

I’m so excited for the weekend!  But, even though its my first weekend without work (since who knows when?!) I will be stuck catching up on all of my work…:(

I guess I never realized that a Writing Major would have to do so much writing…haah!

Just wondering..

Is anyone else as nervous about this final project as I am..?!

Second guessing the Yankees??

Don’t do it!! Don’t doubt the blue and white pinstripes. I will always have faith in the Yankees to the very end. They blew their first playoff game against the Indians tonight 12-3 which was kind of embarrassing but now they got a wake up call. Everyone was preaching that the Yanks beat the Indians 6 out of 6 times this year which I think is kind of jynxing the situation but I still have faith. With an experienced pitching staff on the horizon I have faith the Yanks will pull it out!! Keep checking for more posts… I am upset I will not be able to watch the Yanks tomorrow night I am going to the football game on campus and watch Rowan University stomp on The College of New Jersey!!!

Tag Clouds?!?!

Before taking this class I had never heard of tag clouds, I would have never even come close to guessing what it was. It was interesting to see what my groups main words used were. I was shocked to see some of the key words of other groups too. I would love to have something like this in my conversations everyday just to see what words and key topics were discussed through out the day. It was amusing to think that the words yea, and yeah are used much more then yes. It was interesting because yes is the proper written form logically and it shows that our generation growing up in the age of technology uses internet much more then proper English. It was also interesting to see internet language like lol used in the majority of chats. This was an interesting thing to look at for the multiple reasons that I named; and again I would love to create one for everyday life just to see how I speak and how others talk to me.
